4 Week Strength Training Foundations (Adults) – Starts April 29

The Time Squeeze

Being a parent often comes with countless surprises. More often than not, these surprises lead to the sudden lack of opportunities for Mum or Dad to make time for their own health and fitness. This feeling of time deficiency and often lack of work life balance creates a feeling of guilt and regret (Milkie et al, 2019). Although it seems it should get easier to find this much needed time as tykes turn into tweens, tweens turn into teens and so on, don’t count on it! Parents often adopt the AYSO syndrome. Experienced by many parents whose children are into a variety of sports and physical activities, AYSO stands for ‘All Your Saturdays are Over’. And while the time investment in your children provide invaluable benefits, it is also important to just start doing something for yourself – no matter how small or insignificant you think it may be.
